A dazzling and intriguing musical performance filled with soundscapes that challenge your thinking and stimulate your senses
The dual relationship of humanity with nature and wilderness. That is the theme of the new musical theater production De Jacht by NITE, created by Chilean director and theater maker Manuela Infante. This topic is more relevant than ever in the Netherlands, with the return of the wolf. On Tuesday, October 31st, De Jacht can be seen at the Wilminktheater in Enschede.
For De Jacht, Infante explores the dual desire to tame nature and, at the same time, the human need to merge with it. Out of nostalgia for nature and our own animal instincts, we have already imitated nature in order to be a part of it. In the Netherlands, we are currently captivated by the return of the wolf, which is both romanticized and feared.
With the assistance of her regular musician Diego Noguera, the actors of the NITE ensemble, and Slagwerk Den Haag, Infante elaborates on her associative reflections in a captivating and intriguing musical performance filled with soundscapes that challenge your thoughts and stimulate your senses.
Manuela Infante Infante completed her studies in Chile and at the University of Amsterdam and has since become a globally sought-after interdisciplinary theater maker. She has worked in various parts of Europe (Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria), South America, the USA, and Singapore.
