Italian flair with mandolin virtuoso Alon Sariel.

Mandolin virtuoso Alon Sariel is among the most versatile musicians of today. With refined technique and expressive playing, he captivates audiences and critics worldwide. In addition to his work as a mandolinist, he is internationally recognized as a multi-instrumentalist and a specialist in historically informed performance.

Baroque fire with Combattimento

Together with baroque ensemble Combattimento, Sariel presents a vibrant program featuring music by Antonio Vivaldi and his contemporaries Barbella, Albinoni, and Arrigoni. The combination of mandolin and ensemble creates a clear, colorful sound in which virtuosity and ensemble playing take center stage.

Surprising repertoire

A special highlight of the program is a mandolin concerto by Johann Kauchlitz, also known as Johannes Colizzi. This Bohemian composer, who worked in Leiden, adapted his name to an Italian style—entirely in keeping with the spirit of his time. The piece adds an unexpected historical layer to the program.

A concert full of energy, refinement, and musical discovery within the Italian baroque tradition.
