We dance, but do not do a little dance. If you have nothing to say, you can also just stand, still or lightly moving, until something arises that wants to be said, even if it's just a reaction to the other. As long as it is authentic, it is good.
In a 1.5-hour workshop, participants are taken on a further exploration of their body and movement.
The workshop is:
Accessible to everyone, with or without dance experience and with or without disabilities
Open and curious
For all ages
For both artists and amateurs
Participants reconnect with their bodies, as a sort of baseline measurement. They explore what is specific to their body: where blockages are, where it reacts differently than desired, where it is authentic, and where it has adapted to expectations or images. This forms the starting point for developing a personal movement language, rooted in individuality and honesty. In the second part, participants are invited to collaboratively create short dance scenes or filmic improvisations. These are not finished performances, but moments from a process. They serve as an invitation to the audience to look with an open mind and to empathize with the other.
